Stories That Challenge Stigma & Teach Healthy Coping

The Specials

Wisdom Warrior Series

This trilogy teaches mindfulness and healthy coping through an engaging story of magical realism at the Wisdom Warrior Summer Camp. The main characters learn effective strategies for coping with anxiety, overcoming judgment, and finding peaceful solutions to conflict. Join them in discovering the power of mindfulness.

Book I: Battle of Two Wolves

In 1959, a boy escapes an invasion of his Tibetan village to become the protector of a powerful ancient scroll.

Half a century later, on the other side of the world, twelve-year-old Lucas Colton boards a rickety old bus to Wisdom Warriors Camp. At camp, the unorthodox director and his quirky counselors put the kids through a series of challenges to face their toughest life problems. For Lucas, this means overcoming his paralyzing anxiety to find true friendship. He learns martial arts, mindfulness, and the unconventional wisdom of lost cultures. As camp progresses, Lucas and his friends discover there is much more at stake than surviving camp. The ancient redwood forest is inhabited by mystical forces, spirit animals, and a haunting curse.

Book II: Tyranny of the Shoulds

During the second and third weeks of Wisdom Warrior Camp, the challenges become more intense as the dark forces grow more ominous.

Zoe does everything she “should do” to please everyone in her life, except herself. But at Wisdom Warrior Camp every time she tries to be the best, she fails. Until she learns the true meaning of integrity and being true to herself.

Haley is used to getting whatever she wants. Until she learns that getting along may be more important than getting your way. At Wisdom Warrior Camp she learns the true meaning of friendship.

Book III: Cave of Ghosts

In the last week of Wisdom Warrior Camp, the four friends–Lucas, Zoe, Haley, and Lester–must face the ultimate challenge to save themselves and the camp.

Lester has suffered great loss and wants revenge. He is torn between his loyalty to his friends and getting even. The dark forces in the forest grow more tempting and powerful. The four friends must work together to survive the ultimate challenge: The Cave of Ghosts.
